INTERNATIONAL & FOUNDATION

This committee considers applications and ideas to support projects overseas, mainly in developing countries, supporting disaster relief, agriculture, education and medicine.

A regular activity is the provision of Shelter Boxes. The Shelter Box was originally an emergency box that provides a tent and sleeping bags for a family of 10 people. Now the aid delivered by ShelterBox is more tailored to the specific needs of the ‘disaster’. is one focus of activity for this committee. As a result of the work by this committee other organisations have also become involved in Shelter Boxes. This has included Rotary in North America.

We would like to thank the many people who have supported the Shelter Box project. As a result of this support, we have provided over £30,000 to the Shelter Box Fund to help those affected by the Tsunami.

Shelter Boxes are just one example of the work that we undertake.
